Renowned seed investor & partner at Seedcamp, Carlos Eduardo Espinal, is the first guest who will share his invaluable knowledge on how to get funded. Carlos's amazing experience in funding stems from him leading investments in 200+ companies for Seedcamp, a European seed fund with investments in 250+ startups that have gone on to raise over $1Bn in follow-on funding from leading global investors.
 
Enis Hulli, an associate partner at 500 Startups in Turkey, will provide the insight of someone who has a precise overview over the EMEA region as well as the global startup scene as a whole. 500 Startups Istanbul is a VC fund within the San Francisco based 500 Startups network, a leading global venture capital seed fund and startup accelerator with over 1,500 investments in more than 50 countries and venture partners in more than 25 countries.
 
The third speaker at the panel is Jakob Gajšek, head of venture relations at the Slovenian ABC Accelerator. ABC (Acceleration Business City) is a private acceleration group dedicated to the best entrepreneurs from all over the world. It's strategically connected to large multinational enterprises like IBM, Microsoft, Cisco, Oracle and BMW, and supported by Harvard and Berkeley.
 
Providing special insight into the funding in the area of blockchain and scouting for blockchain startups is Matjaž Slak, the head of project scouting at Cofound.it, the platform that connects blockchain believers to teams that are building serious blockchain businesses.
 
Last but not least, the managing partner in the Build.it Seed Fund for IoT and the co-founder of the Build.it Hardware Accelerator Aleksander Tönnisson will reveal what it takes for hardware companies to get funded.
 
Igor Madzov, an associate at South Central Ventures, will host the panel.
 
Also join us on the second day of the conference in the second part of the Venture funding programme block where we will explore how ICOs have changed the funding landscape. In his keynote speech, Carlos Eduardo Espinal of Seedcamp will share how ICOs changed everything and nothing at the same time.
 
Following his keynote, other renowned investors will join him at a panel discussion on Investments in the post ICO-era. Jure Mikuž, the managing partner at South Central Ventures, will provide a unique overview of investment activities in the Balkan region. With offices in Belgrade, Zagreb and Skopje, South Central Ventures, a €40-million fund, is dedicated primarily to early-stage and growth investments into tech companies in the Balkans. Another top-notch investor we are hosting at the panel is Philippe Suchet, a venture partner at Spider Capital Partners, an early-stage SaaS fund. David Prais, the chairman at the Cofound.it platform helping blockchain startups on their way to success, will share his vast experience from ICO, VC and the private equity world.
