Are you ready for a future shaped by IoT, Blockchain and AI?

Are IoT, blockchain, AI just a hype or will they radically change our world? What are the new business models? How will new emerging tech change our lives and the way we do business? At the PODIM Conference in May, you'll get a glimpse into the future at yet another superstar-packed programme block Technology & Business.

Our first keynote speaker in this programme block is a top-notch entrepreneur, lecturer and scientist, MIT Media Lab visiting professor David Rose. In his talk Dreams of a smart city – How AI wants to take care of us, he will explore some of the incredible ways that AI will impact life in future cities, from public spaces and home life to transportation, food and shopping. David is also the CEO at Ditto Labs, an image-recognition platform that scours Instagram and Twitter to find brands and products. David’s products have been featured at the MoMA, covered in The New York Times, WIRED, The Economist, and parodied on the Colbert Report.

Joining us for the second year in a row is Chuck Goldman, a renowned Boston-based investor and co-founder and CEO of VUI – the first and only voice-driven customer engagement platform, aiming to create meaningful voice-first experience for brands. In his talk We bet on the voice user interface! Why and how? he will take us into a world where every computer interaction involves voice and companies have adopted strategies for integrating voice into their technology stack at virtually every level – especially customer interaction. Apart from being the CEO of VUI, Chuck is also an investment partner at Sky Ventures Group, which specializes in health technologies and innovations.

Beyond the easily visible aspects of great UX in consumer products, apps, and services, great design has a massive impact on the way our cities are planned, how goods become more sustainable, and where organisations and teams evolve to be more innovative. If you want to learn how to approach complexity in the design process, don't miss the keynote speech by James Haliburton, the CEO and co-founder at Topp Design & Innovation, where they are tackling some of the most wicked problems found in business, technology and life. From Doctors Without Borders to Samsung, James is working with international, large-scale initiatives to make impact with design. James is also the CEO of Noodl – the UX Design platform for IoT.

The technology & business programme block will be concluded by a fireside chat with our guests David Rose from MIT and James Haliburton from Topp Design & Innovation on how technology will change our lives and work. Enis Hulli, the associate partner at 500 Startups Turkey, will host the chat.

So, if you are into new technologies and are curious about how our world is about to change in a few years' time, you'll have the unique opportunity to travel into the future with our amazing guests in the Technology & Business programme block!
